Impressions
The shape is simple, but gives cool and sharp impressions like the blade of Katana.
The word Yaiba sounds a bit classical and it’s frequently used in manga and anime that deal with Japan in old times or ninja technique.
For example, Demon Slayer’s original title is Kimetsu no Yaiba. This YAIBA is exactly this blade kanji. KI means a demon and METSU is to annihilate. So if you translate it faithfully, it can be said “the blade of demon slayer”.
In Inuyasha, one of Inuyasha’s killing moves is Kaze no Yaiba that means the blade of wind.
