Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 has started! 😆
The new opening was filled with the scenes that seemed something behind it. One of them is blue flowers Gojo Satoru has in his hand.

Blue flowers and their flower languages
What kind of blue flowers does Gojo have and what’s the meaning of it? I considered some possibilities.
I think many of us think up blue rose first when it comes to the blue flower.
As you already know, a blue rose has been a symbol of something impossible or something that could never exist. But its meaning is changing and currently the flower language is “a dream comes true”.
Blue is also the color of Gojo’s Rikugan and it can be interpreted the blue rose symbolizes Gojo himself. It matches the fact that he is the living miracle in Jujutsu society.
The flower language of periwinkle is lifelong friendship. Seems it’s a message from Gojo to Geto Suguru. Gojo described him “my only best friend”.
Stokesia also has blue-like color. The language of the flower is anamnesis. It may imply Gojo’s past.
I’m not sure what flower Gojo has in the opening, but each blue flower has the meaning related to past and future or affection for someone.
If you haven’t read the Jujutsu Kaisen vol.0 yet, your point of view would change after reading it. Vol.0 is a story about Gojo in young age and his best friend Geto Suguru.
I know it’s nothing but a guess and the one who plots the story of Jujutsu Kaisen is not animation staff but the author. But MAPPA, an animation studio that develops Jujutsu Kaisen anime, is know for its detailed work and I think it’s a part of fun to guess what they hid behind the animation.
