What Is Gojo Satoru’s Hand Sign of Finger Crossed Pose?

what the origin and meaning of gojo satoru's hand sign?Jujutsu Kaisen

Hi, this is Junko!

Don’t you think it’s cool Gojo Satoru makes a hand sign when casting the Unlimited Void? It seems the hand signs of the Domain Expansion have its origin in Buddhism. Gojo’s hand sign is very similar to the one of Taishakuten, the god of war. Here’s the picture of the sign. It looks like the same, isn’t it?

If watching carefully, you’ll notice that the position of the middle finger and index finger is exchanged for Gojo’s sign. Additionally, Gojo makes the sign with his right hand, but the sign of Taishakuten is done with the left hand.

What kind of god is Taishakuten?

Taishakuten is originally the Indian god Indra. In ancient Indian mythology, Indora is the strongest god who likes fighting with a powerful weapon and lightning power.

Indra was abandoned by his mother. Because she feared that his existence would change the world order. He was extremely strong enough to affect the world.

Later he was adopted in the Buddhism and became the mercy protector of the Buddhism.

Is this back story is associated with Gojo Satoru in Jujutsu Kaisen? He is the strongest Jujutsu sorcerer and his birth changed the power balance of sorcerers and cursed spirits.

Why don’t you PIN it?
