All about VAMPIRE in Japanese!

Vampire says KYUKETSUKI in Japanese. Let me explain what each kanji symbol stands for.
Meanings and background
KYU = suck
KETSU = blood
KI = Oni (Japanese demon)
We have various demons called Oni in Japanese mythologies, but there are no demons equivalent to the Western vampires. The word KYUKETSUKI is a translation that got well known in Japan since the 1920s.
As you know, now it’s a popular motif for many manga and video games.
