How to read
wisteria, sheer purple color
Gives elegant and sophisticated impressions. Not flashy, but has modest beauty.
The flower of wisteria has been loved by the Japanese as a symbol of beautiful women. It appears even in Kojiki, the oldest Japanese historical record. We can know how long the wisteria has been with us.
Japanese nobles in the Heian period (794 A.D. – 1185 A.D.) held feasts for viewing the flowers of wisteria and wrote the Japanese poems to admire its beauty.
I think the wisteria became much more familiar with Demon Slayer’s record-breaking hit. Fantastic scenes with blooming wisteria flowers are described many times in it. You’ll feel as if you were in the Demon Slayer world if stood under illuminated wisteria trees.
