Fushiguro Toji is a skilled assassin, notorious for his title as the “Curse User Killer.” He hails from the Zen’in family, one of the esteemed sorcerer families.
However, he relinquished his family name and adopted the name Fushiguro after marrying his wife. Fushiguro is his wife’s surname, whereas his original name was Zenin Toji.
Departure from the Zen’in Family
Toji’s departure from the Zen’in family stems from his lack of cursed energy since birth. Regarded as an underachiever, he faced neglect and mistreatment within the Zen’in household.
The scars on his mouth are a result of being thrown into a group of curses during his time with the Zenin family.

Despite the initial impression that having no cursed energy puts Toji at a disadvantage against sorcerers, the reality is quite the opposite.
Sorcerers can only sense individuals with cursed energy, rendering Toji undetectable. He operates in a perpetual state of stealth.
Furthermore, as Domain Expansion affects only those with cursed energy, Toji can nullify its effects. It is nearly impossible for sorcerers to defeat Toji in close combat, making him a formidable foe and a natural enemy to sorcerers.

For ordinary individuals, these spirits are poisonous, and ingesting them would cause harm. However, Toji’s enhanced physical abilities enable him to neutralize the toxicity of these cursed spirits.
Toji’s Personality
Toji has a fondness for gambling, but it seems he lacks significant talent in this area. He earns a considerable sum of money as an assassin but swiftly spends it all. So, he frequently moves between multiple romantic partners.
The author of Jujutsu Kaisen humorously refers to him as a “professional parasite” who manages to earn money, thus making him a “parasite with returns.” Gojo Satoru once described him as “a scumbag even I wouldn’t associate with.”
Though his character became more affable after meeting Megumi’s mother, her untimely demise shortly after Megumi’s birth led to a relapse in his reckless behavior.
Subsequently, he disappeared, leaving behind his daughter Megumi and Tsukumo Yuki, the mother of Fushiguro Tsumiki.
